Introduction to Brussels

Brussels is beautifully situated between France and Holland and has something from both cultures mixed with the Belgium culutre. Obviously as the Capital of the European Union Brussels is a very international and European cosmopolitan city. Currently, Brussels is the capital of the EU from the beginning andit still is, with European institutions, great restaurants and museums everywhere. The Brussels culture is founded on an open society and same like the French there is a culture of 'haute cuisinse'. Because of this is will be no surprise that Brussels has become one of the cities with the best restaurants around the world, including many Michelin restaurants. What may sometimes seem almost impossible to imagine what would Brussels be without the European Union, the city has both a rich culture from the past mixed with the current rich culture of the European Union. If you want to get to know Europe, Brussels may be the best city to start with. Amsterdam is the city of Europe with its typical Belgium/French history and this is what attract most people to Brussels. See the pissing young guy ( 'Manneke Pis' ) eat out in a Belgium bistro and feel Europe.
